Your Victory is Their Map. Step Up and Become a Guiding Light.

You fought the battle against cancer and emerged victorious. You now hold a unique, deeply human power that medicine alone cannot provide: the power to look at a terrified new patient and truly say, “I have been there, and you can cross this bridge too.” Welcome to the Samrohana Sarathi program at KIMS-MACS an inspiring, phone-based mentorship circle where veteran survivors become the Sarathis (Guides) for those just beginning their journey. Turn your lived experience into someone else’s ultimate source of hope.

THE HEART OF THE PROGRAM: Why Your Voice Matters

When a person receives a cancer diagnosis, the world around them becomes instantly loud, confusing, and overwhelming. They have world-class robotic surgeons and elite oncologists treating their disease—but what they desperately need is a friend to help calm their mind.

As a Samrohana Sarathi, you fill that vital gap entirely over the phone. By sharing your personal story of resilience, you help:

Demystify the Unknown:

Share the small, practical patient-to-patient insights about hospital life, routines, and home recovery that doctors don't always have the time to map out.

Normalize the Fears:

Validate their anxieties, listen to their concerns, and anchor them emotionally when they feel adrift.

Model the Future:

Stand as a living, breathing proof of life after cancer. Your health, your smile, and your steady voice are the absolute best reminders that recovery is real and within their reach.

THE MENTOR EXPERIENCE: Simple, Meaningful, and Supportive

We know you are busy rebuilding and enjoying your life post-recovery. The Sarathi program is designed to respect your boundaries and seamlessly fit into your routine, while maximizing your emotional impact.

A Perfect Match:

Our support team pairs you exclusively with a patient facing a similar treatment pathway to your own past procedure (e.g., pairing a robotic surgery survivor with a new robotic surgery patient), ensuring your insights are perfectly relevant.

Three Meaningful Touchpoints:

Your commitment is beautifully focused. You will connect with your matched patient over a quick phone call at exactly three pivotal milestones in their care:

A Full Support Circle:

You are never left to carry their burdens alone. The KIMS-MACS Oncology support network and a dedicated Clinical Psychologist walk right alongside you, offering guidance, training, and professional backing whenever you or your matched patient need it.

The Handshake:

Right after diagnosis, to build a foundation of trust and ease initial shock.

The Preparation:

Just before surgery or treatment to share comfort and practical hospital tips.

The New Normal:

During their first week back home, to offer a listening ear and reinforce patience during recovery.
